That's a beautiful shark caught there Fox! and on xmas day too, nice gift to have this experience and memory. Thanks for the additional info on your outfit and technique.

I caught the shark using 4

I caught the shark using 4 flapped open sardines and a whole chokka combo,on two 11/0 mustad circle hooks,150lbs carbon coated wire, .7mm leader and .55mm kingfisher giant abrasion line on a Diawa saltist 50 and a Shimano exage 1448 rod using the heavey tip.
Fight duratoin was 30 -40min ,the shark was safely released after hooks were removed and photos taken.
