A Brief History:
In 2004 Blaauwbosch Trout Inn was established in 2004 by Roelie & Bruce Pretorius together with Marten & Elly Juckers.

The idea was born when we realised that living in the city was not the end all and be all. They spent a reasonable amount of months searching to find the right location for the idea they had in their minds.

After spending 15 to 20 years respectively in the Motor Industry. Roelie & Bruce they decided the rat race was no longer for them. For Marten & Elly who were already on pension, they wanted a smaller place to stay and could not find the right place in Johannesburg. Therefore decided that living in the country would be a better idea, however they landed up with a lot more then they had before - so much for a smaller place!

Bruce started off fishing from a young age and for many years was involved in artificial lure fishing and even had Northern Transvaal colours for the sport. He became interested in fly fishing a couple of years ago and has even gone as far as tying flies as well.

The farm is 103 hectare and has some 300 year old kraals that are scattered all over the hillsides.

Our Aim:
To Create a place where families can get together and enjoy a relaxing time, be it to do fly fishing, bird watching, walking in the mountains, horse riding or just relaxing on the stoep of one of our homes.
