The waters of Wollaston Lake Lodge lure anglers from far and wide for the ultimate Grand Slam of freshwater fishing: Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Walleye and Arctic Grayling. These world-class fish are found in only a handful of Saskatchewan’s 98,000 lakes.

The lake itself is 110 miles long, 45 miles wide with 2,700 miles of shoreline and nearly 400 islands.

Our catch-and-release tradition (begun in the 1980's) helps assure great fishing year after year, with barbless hooks and careful handling procedures. We make every effort to conserve the fish population for future generations.

Fly Fishing:

Take fly-casting to the next level.

Few things stir the blood of a born angler like a powerful northern pike in hot pursuit of a fly. Or an arctic grayling battling you and your 5-weight rod in fast moving water. In the spring or fall, you can match wits with lake trout that are numerous and ravenous. Our guides (taught by Larry Dahlberg and Barry Reynolds), are experienced at guiding fly fishermen, and our boats have huge casting decks with plenty of room to maneuver.

If you’ve ever dreamt of tangling with a huge pike or lake trout on the fly, we have the expertise to accomplish that goal. Our rental program includes the use of a flyrod for those who have the desire to learn. And our complimentary fly-tying desk is at your disposal if you’d like to create a fly of your own design.

* One night of hotel accommodations in Winnipeg on northbound journey.
* Shuttle service between hotel and airport in Winnipeg.

* Daily housekeeping/laundry service.
* Main Lodge with lounge and meeting facilities.
* Professional guide for every two anglers.
* Fully quipped Lund Pro-V boats with depth finders, trolling motors, spring-ride pedestal seating and raised casting decks.

Liquor, tackle, gratuities, confectionery items, rental fishing equipment, daily fly-outs or fly-backs and therapeutic massage.

Fishing Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Day in Winnipeg
You may arrive in Winnipeg anytime and enjoy an overnight hotel stay at the Hilton Suites Winnipeg airport. This northbound hotel stay is included in your fishing package. A lodge representative will meet you when you arrive and transportation to the hotel is provided.

Day 2: Fly to the Lodge for your First Full Day of Fishing
Meet in hotel lobby by 5:15 am for 5:30 am departure to our charter flight. Continental breakfast is available in hotel lobby prior to departure. The charter flight is approximately 2 hours, followed by a short bus ride to the lodge. Once you arrive at Wollaston Lake Lodge there will be a hot breakfast available in the dining room. You will meet your guide that morning and discuss your fishing plans for the next four days– Don’t forget to ask about fly-out opportunities.

Day 2 - 5: Fish! Relax! Have Fun!
Coffee is delivered to your cabin by 5:00 am and breakfast service begins at 6:00 am. A typical fishing day starts at 9:00 am but let us know if you want to start earlier. If you planned to flyout, flyout times will be scheduled the night before. Appetizers in the lounge from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Dinner service begins at 7:00 pm. There are no set dining times so come in when you’re hungry!

Day 6: Departure Day
Have bags packed and ready for pickup at 5:30 am. Bus departs at 6:30 am CST for southbound charter flight. Full breakfast is available at main lodge beginning at 5:15 am. Charter arrives in Winnipeg at approximately 11:45 am. Please ensure you have booked a flight after 1:00 pm to allow enough time for check-in and to clear security and customs.
