My name is Gerald Young and I work for the Department of Water Affairs and my home and office is at Deneysville, Vaal dam. Although my wife Maryna and I sometimes do a bit of 'Pap gooi' we are hooked on 'Yellows on fly'
Our home language is Afrikaans but Flyfishing is a universal language.
I also do my own 'fly tying' and it is a rush to see a wopper of a yellow grab a fly you have tied yourself. My wife makes Fly fishing / bass and hunting jackets which are for sale 'cheep, cheep' and also does a bit of pottery. Both my son and daughter are 'gaga' over flyfishing, and no one can explain the feeling you get when you stand back and watch your whole family enjoying the same hobby.
Our other love is riding on our vintage bike with sidecar, camping, fishing and fishing and fishing. need I say more.......
